ByteGraphics is a web and graphic design firm offering freelance and contractual design services to non-profit companies, small businesses, and larger design firms and corporations. We are the hub of a network of design and technical associates with expertise in user-centered design and usability, systems architecture, and site development. With an eye toward sensible design without the clutter, we enjoy working with many different kinds of people — from the very tech-savvy to the hopelessly techno-phobic — and most enjoy working on meaningful projects designed to make a real contribution to peoples’ lives.
Laura Segel, Owner, has been working in software and website design for nearly fifteen years. With a background in mathematics and training in clinical psychology, Laura approaches her work from a perspective which is both technical and artistic. Her web design career was launched at Art Technology Group where she worked in quality assurance, front end development, and user interface design. Later, she produced designs for several national banks including Sovereign Bank and National City. She provided design support for the MIT math department, and has created logos for both corporate and non-profit clients. (One of them won an award!) Most recently, she has been working mainly in the non-profit sector, creating websites and web applications for schools, houses of worship, and other earth- and human-friendly organizations.
